Welcome to Bulqit ("we," "us," or "our"). Bulqit is a service marketplace platform that connects homeowners with local service vendors through a neighborhood-based "block" model. This Privacy Policy explains how Bulqit, LLC collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your personal information when you access or use our website at www.bulqit.com, our mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account & Profile Information: Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, password, and profile photo when you create a Homeowner or Vendor account.
  • Property & Location Data: Home address, neighborhood block assignment, and property details you submit to receive service quotes.
  • Service & Transaction Data: Service requests, bids, reviews, ratings, messages between homeowners and vendors, and payment or billing information processed through our third-party payment provider.
  • Vendor Business Information: Business name, license numbers, insurance details, service areas, and portfolio materials submitted during onboarding.
  • Communications: Information you provide when you contact our support team, submit feedback through Userback or other channels, or participate in surveys.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device & Browser Data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, links clicked, features used, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and navigation paths.
  • Location Data: Approximate geographic location inferred from your IP address or, with your consent, more precise location from your mobile device.
  • Cookies & Similar Technologies: Information collected via cookies, pixels, and local storage (see Section 5 below).

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Identity Verification: Background check results and license verification data for vendors, obtained through authorized third-party providers.
  • Analytics Providers: Aggregated and de-identified usage data from services such as Google Analytics.
  • Social Sign-On: If you log in through a third-party service (e.g., Google), we may receive your name, email, and profile picture as authorized by that service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Provide & Operate the Platform: Create and manage accounts, match homeowners with vendors, facilitate bidding and scheduling, process transactions, and deliver customer support.
  • Personalization: Customize your experience based on your location, service history, and preferences, including neighborhood block assignment.
  • Communications: Send transactional notifications (confirmations, reminders, status updates), respond to your inquiries, and—with your consent—deliver promotional messages and platform updates.
  • Safety & Trust: Verify vendor credentials, detect and prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the security of the Platform and its users.
  • Analytics & Improvement: Monitor usage trends, measure feature performance, conduct internal research, troubleshoot issues, and improve Platform functionality.
  • Legal Compliance: Comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and establish or defend legal claims.

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or share your personal information with third-party companies for their own marketing purposes.

SMS Opt-In Data: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support of services such as customer service is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Between Users: When a homeowner submits a service request, relevant information is shared with vendors in the applicable block. When a vendor submits a bid, relevant business information is shared with the homeowner.
  • Service Providers: We share information with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf—such as payment processing, email delivery, hosting, analytics, and customer support. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to use your data only for the specified purpose and to maintain its confidentiality.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
  • Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information when required by law, in response to valid legal process (such as a subpoena or court order), or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Bulqit, our users, or the public.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your information for other purposes with your express consent.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate, secure, and improve the Platform. The types of cookies we use include:

After account deletion, we may retain certain data for a limited period as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain business records as required by law. Aggregated and de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

7. Security of Your Information

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure server infrastructure, access controls, and regular security assessments. 8. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

Bulqit does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this practice changes in the future, we will provide a conspicuous opt-out mechanism.

8.5 Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

To the extent we collect sensitive personal information (such as precise geolocation), we use it only for purposes authorized under the CPRA, such as providing the services you requested. You may request that we limit such use.

8.6 Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a privacy right.

8.7 How to Submit a Request

To exercise any of the rights described above, you or your authorized agent may submit a verifiable consumer request by emailing legal@bulqit.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity before processing your request and will respond within 45 days as required by law.

California "Shine the Light" Law: Under California Civil Code § 1798.83, California residents may request information about any disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. As stated above, we do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

9. General Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and the right to withdraw consent previously given. 10. SMS & Text Messaging

If you opt in to receive text messages from Bulqit (e.g., service reminders, appointment confirmations, account notifications), the following terms apply:

  • Message frequency varies based on your account activity and notification preferences.
  • Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
  • You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may text HELP for assistance.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Bulqit.
  • No mobile information, including opt-in data and consent, will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at legal@bulqit.com and we will promptly delete such information.

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (such as payment processors or mapping providers) that are not operated by Bulqit. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where required by law, provide you with additional notice (such as an email notification or an in-platform alert).
